AI at the core — the first AI-powered eCMR platform

eFTI Connect is the first eCMR platform built around artificial intelligence — specialised AI agents that help with the real, everyday work of road transport.

  • Transport knowledge base. A built-in knowledge base covering eCMR, the CMR Convention, ADR and Incoterms — AI agents let you search it and get answers in seconds.
  • Packaging type suggestions. A specialised agent suggests the appropriate UN-standard packaging type based on a description of the goods being transported.
  • AI-assisted CMR entry. Describe the consignment and the AI agent generates a new CMR document from it — no retyping the same information.
  • Semantic document search. Search documents by meaning, not just keywords — find the right consignment note even when you don't remember the exact wording.
  • Document translation. Translate documents into other languages — a document created in Serbian is instantly usable by a consignee in German.
  • CMR Convention help for drivers. Drivers don't need to know the Convention by heart — they can simply ask the AI agent, for example what to do if they notice damaged goods at loading.

Full Open Logistics Foundation compatibility

eFTI Connect is based on and fully compatible with the Open Logistics Foundation (OLF) eCMR standard — the open-source industry standard advanced, tested and validated by 28 member companies of the Foundation (including Rhenus, Dachser, Blue Yonder and Markant) and presented at transport logistic 2025 in Munich in June 2025.

  • Interoperable by design. The OLF standard uses a common eCMR data model so documents can be exchanged across federated platforms without a central broker or intermediary.
  • No vendor lock-in. Because eFTI Connect speaks the open standard, you can collaborate with partners on other compatible systems.
  • Legally sound. The standard implements advanced electronic seals in line with the EU eIDAS Regulation, ensuring authenticity, integrity and accessibility.
  • A member of the Foundation, not just a user of the standard. bitsEverywhere d.o.o., the company behind eFTI Connect, is the Open Logistics Foundation's first member company from Serbia and works inside its Electronic Transport Documents and Track & Trace working groups and its eCMR, eDeliveryNote and Timeslot Management projects — weekly, alongside the people who write the standard, instead of reverse-engineering it from the outside afterwards.

Cloud-native on Microsoft Azure — no servers needed

eFTI Connect runs entirely on Microsoft Azure, so you need no servers, no installations and no in-house infrastructure.
  • Zero infrastructure. Access everything from a browser or mobile app. There is nothing to install or maintain.
  • Secure cloud platform. Azure encrypts data at rest (256-bit AES) and in transit — and you get all the benefits of SaaS in the cloud: automatic backups, continuous monitoring and always up-to-date software, with nothing to maintain yourself.

eFTI compliance, built in

eFTI Connect is aligned with the EU's electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation (EU) 2020/1056. From 9 July 2027, authorities in all EU Member States must accept freight information submitted electronically through certified eFTI platforms.
  • Machine-readable data sharing with authorities, on request (for example via a unique electronic link or QR code).
  • Selective, permission-based sharing with your authorised business partners.
  • Structured records that map to the eFTI common data set.
